The House

Built in 1904 (and completed in 1906) at 900 Vine Street, the Samuel Read House is a historic mansion in Chattanooga’s Fort Wood Historic District constructed by Samuel R. Read—the legendary local hotelier behind the downtown The Read House Hotel.*

Today, the architecturally significant building has been converted into privately owned, luxury-finished historic condominiums located near the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga (UTC).

*The Samuel Read House Condominiums, LLC and The Read House Hotel have no commercial or business affiliation.
